Brave swimmers keep polar bear tradition alive (Nanaimo Daily News)

Still, about 100 diehards did show up for the 49th Annual Frank Ney Polar Bear Swim at Departure Bay on Friday and they made up for the smaller numbers with sheer exuberance.
