DENVER (CBS4) ― The Denver Zoo announced the birth of a new zoo baby on Tuesday. The zoo is now the only zoo in North America to have a Nepal viper. The Nepal vipers are not well known so veterinarians at the zoo are hoping to learn about their life cycle and habits. The zoo has already discovered that the vipers both bite and strangle their prey. It’s unusual for snakes to use both methods when hunting.
